4 Ropin Ranch Inc. held their 2nd annual Team Roping Horse Sale October 25th, 2007 during the USTRC National Finals in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.   A large crowd watched on as 40 geldings demonstrated their abilities on a pen of hard running cattle for over two and a half hours the evening preceding the sale.  At the reins were 4 Ropin Ranch’s  head trainer, and the 2007 PRCA Turquoise Circuit Champion Trevor Brown  along  with Justin Morris of Texas, Kent Thiessen of Oklahoma, Brandon Bates of California, NFR qualifiers Andy Anaya and Mike White along with Micha Lynch and USTRC Champion Ryan Powell.  The crowd cheered as head trainer Trevor Brown pulled the bridle off of horse #24 “PZ Dun Wonder” and backed into the heelers box.  With only a halter on he made several 6 second runs behind assistant trainer Justin Morris on 4 Ropin Ranch’s top selling head horse “Kidnap A Duece”.  Both dun geldings were used throughout the week from the open to the #10 roping.  The following evening at approximately 7pm under the bright camera lights all 40 horses walked thru the sale ring and sold by public auction.  “Kidnap A Duece” a 2000 Dun gelding proved to be the top selling horse and sold to Tom from Montana for $35,000.  “PZ Dun Wonder” was the 2nd high selling horse and went to Florida for $29,000.  Other top sellers were “Libbys Re Play” a 2000 gray gelding who sold as hip #40 for $25,000 and “Money Pony” a top notch head horse who sold to Texas for $23,000.  The Top 5 selling rope horses averaged $26,600 with a sale average on all 40 head of $14,700.  DV Auctions broadcast the sale live via the internet and featured online bidding.  The horses sold from Hawaii to New Jersey and everywhere between.  Many of the purchasers were repeat buyers from the 2006 sale.  4 Ropin Ranch Inc. owners Steve and Kim Temple thank their staff for their hard work and outstanding performance.  They again thank the USTRC staff and management for their efforts to help insure the best Rope Horse Sale at the greatest event in team roping.  They appreciate the support of their many sponsors including Purina Mills, Roper Apparel, Classic, Classic Equine, Martin Saddlery, USTRC, Trojan Manufacturing, Cool Horse, Scott Ironworks, The Arizona Jackpot, Freedom Rv. and C.
